अधिकारियों ने गुरुवार को बताया कि यहां ऋषिकेश के पास लाल तप्पड़ इलाके में पुलिस मुठभेड़ के बाद दो लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया, जिसमें उनके पैर में गोली लगी।
पुलिस ने कहा कि बुधवार को देहरादून जिले के डोईवाला गांव में मुठभेड़ के दौरान तीसरा व्यक्ति जंगल में भाग गया। ये तीनों सरकारी दून अस्पताल के बाहर हाल ही में हुई गोलीबारी की घटना में कथित तौर पर शामिल थे।
डोईवाला थाना प्रभारी निरीक्षक प्रदीप राणा ने बताया कि बुधवार रात 10:15 बजे हुई मुठभेड़ में घायल बदमाशों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया और गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।
उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी पहचान देहरादून के सोहेल खान (25) और शानू (23) के रूप में हुई है।
अधिकारी ने बताया कि पुलिस फरार अपराधी की तलाश में जंगल में छापेमारी कर रही है, जबकि अन्य स्थानों पर भी छापेमारी की जा रही है.
इंस्पेक्टर ने बताया कि ये अपराधी दो-तीन सप्ताह पहले सरकारी दून अस्पताल के बाहर हुई फायरिंग की घटना के मुख्य आरोपी हैं और पुलिस इनकी तलाश कर रही है.
उनके खिलाफ देहरादून सिटी पुलिस स्टेशन में हत्या के प्रयास का मामला दर्ज किया गया है। अपराधियों के पास से एक स्कूटर और दो पिस्तौल भी बरामद किये गये.
